Our clients acquired the 3.2-acre site in Harrold during the first quarter of 2019. The site sits in a flood zone 3 location directly adjacent to the River Great Ouse and the Harrold and Odell Country Park. Angel have been commissioned to obtain planning to raise the house above the 1:1000 year flood event level; over the existing footprint on a larger scale with a new build 3 car garage; workshop and gym. The planning strategy had to be carefully structured over a series of applications to maximise the potential whilst still complying with local planning policies and the sensitive location between two ancient monuments; Harrold Bridge to the south west and St Nicholas Church to the south east. With planning permission now obtained and designs developed and agreed with the developer, construction is now in full swing.
